New Delhi: Ganga Dussehra 2018 has been auspicious day in Indian mythology. This day is dedicated to Mother Ganga, on the Dasami tithi of the Shukla paksha, according to Hindu calender the day is celebrated in the Jyeshtha month. Ganga Dussehra is also called Gangavataran, which means "Avatar of the Ganga". On this day people take bath in the River Ganga. It is believed in hindu culture that the person who baths the Ganges on this day, his sins is washed away.

If you want to attain virtue, donate Sattu, Matka and crafted hand fan on Ganga Dussehra. Fast on the name of 'Lord Vishnu' on this day is more fruitful for devotees.
