The government has added 26 departments to the yatra. Water power minister Dr. Mahendra Singh said about this visit that all villages along the Ganges will be made on ODF Plus (the next phase of open defecation campaign) on a war footing. Under this, solid-liquid waste will be disposed of in all villages. Dung will not be seen with garbage. The irrigation department is preparing an action plan so that pure drinking water can be provided in all these villages. Ganga nursery will be built in every village. Farmers will be given zero budget and organic farming. This will also provide economic benefits to the farmers. Not only this, under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), the process of providing housing to villagers who have not been able to get accommodation yet, will also start soon.
