Gary Kirsten has been named coach of the Cardiff men's team in the Handiwork League starting next year. With this, the long-standing search for the team has also come to an end.

Last year, Australia's women's team has been named coach of Cardiff's women's team, Matthew Mott, who won the T20 World Cup. Apart from coaching Team India and IPL, Kirsten was also associated with Big Bash team Hobart Hurricanes. On joining his new team, Kirsten said, "Joining the English and Wales Cricket Board for coaching work is something I had never done before.

This is a great opportunity. Kirsten added that this is a form-by-format and I sincerely hope it will be quite famous. Gary Kirsten is counted among India's most successful coaches. The BCCI had said that they could join the team again if they wanted to. The Board is in the process of selecting a new coach for the team these days.
