Chandigarh: A major accident has been averted at Hyundai Metal Company located on Badshahi Road near Village Panchi Gujran under Sonipat in Haryana. In fact, the health of the women employees deteriorated due to the sudden release of copper gas during the melting of scrap here. About 30 women employees fainted from the copper gas. These women were doing sorting work near the scrap melting furnace.

All the women have been admitted to the local private hospital and CHC, Ganaur, due to sudden deterioration of their health. Out of all these women, the condition of 2 women is serious and they have been referred to Khanpur Medical College. Police and top officials of the health department have reached the hospital to know the condition of the women. At present, the Ganaur police station is investigating the case. At the same time, the manager of the company Manoj said that the fire was lit to avoid the cold, which led to the formation of gas. Seeing this, many women fainted, who have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

Giving details of the matter, DSP Ganaur Jogendra Rathi informed that we had received information that there is a firm named Hyundai Metal in which scrap comes and metal extraction is done from it. Today, while removing the metal, the copper gas came out suddenly there, which worsened the condition of around 30 women employees. All have been sent to the hospital for treatment and the matter is being investigated thoroughly.
