New Delhi: Students have now approached the apex court demanding the postponement of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2022) examination. For quite some time, the demand to postpone the exam was raised on social media. IIT Kharagpur has made it clear that the exam will be held on the scheduled date. The students then decided to move to the Supreme Court and filed an application in the court.

The top court has agreed to hear the petition at the earliest. The Chief Justice said that we will list the matter. The exam is scheduled to be held on February 05-06, before which the court can take a decision on it. Students say that conducting the exam at exam centres amidst the threat of corona infection is playing with the health of the students. In such a situation, the exam should be postponed to the next date.

Meanwhile, IIT Kharagpur has issued a travel pass of gate 2022 exam for students. With the help of a travel pass, candidates can travel to give the exam. To download it, students will have to visit the official website http://gate.iitkgp.ac.in and log in with the help of their login details. GATE 2022 travel pass will also be valid for JAM 2022 exam.
