The results of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2017 shall be declared on March 27. The exam was conducted for admissions to post-graduate programs (ME, MTech, direct PhD) in Indian institutes of higher education with financial assistance provided by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and other government agencies.
This year, the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee conducted the test. The exam was held on February 4, February 5, February 11, and February 12, 2017. It had 23 papers (disciplines) which were conducted online. The candidate was supposed to appear in any one paper of the GATE examination. Some of the papers were held in multiple sessions.
