TV actor Gaurav Chopra has also faced nepotism in his life. He talked about this with a media reporter. He told how he too became a victim of nepotism and how people cut him off. But still, believing in himself, he went ahead. While talking about nepotism, Gaurav said that even after doing a big film in Hollywood with Leonardo DiCaprio, he could not start his career in Bollywood. He said, "I myself have suffered nepotism in the film industry. I have also been its victim, but I have also accepted its presence.
As it happens in every industry, this is also a part of this industry, which should be changed but its presence should be accepted. Gaurav gave his example, "Years ago when I went to shoot a big film with Leonardo DiCaprio, I am telling the truth that at that time I had the same thought in my mind that I will brighten the name of our country. No one went to work in Hollywood. But even after doing that Hollywood film, I didn't get a big break in Bollywood. Some films started and stopped. So I was disappointed but then I explained to myself that this will have to be accepted. The way I got a lot of praise and a lot of love, I got some shock as well." Gaurav has done many serials on the small screen and has appeared in many reality shows as well. Gaurav said, "See, I am an outsider myself and have been a victim of groupism many times, both in my career and also personally. I don't party much, don't drink alcohol, don't sit with people and do other things."
"Though his behaviour is very good with me, many such groups have been formed where things have been said against me. People have been insured, they have all faced it, not just me. With that your life becomes negative." Gaurav further said, "In the society in which we live, there is nepotism. Everywhere there is competition, everywhere there is manipulation, everywhere people try to reach their contacts. It runs in every circle of society. Just speaking about the film industry or the TV industry, I feel wrong and unfaithful. Before the lockdown, Gaurav Chopra was seen in the role of Mr Singh in the serial Sanjeevani 2. He can play the character of Mr Bajaj in Kasauti Zindagi Ki 2. Gaurav Chopra has given his voice to Thor in Thor-Ragnarok, Avengers-Infinity War and Avengers-Endgame. He dubbed this character in Hindi.
