New Delhi: Gautam Adani, the world's third richest man, on Saturday (January 7) gave a candid reply to Congress Lok Sabha MP Rahul Gandhi. In fact, Rahul Gandhi often attacks Gautam Adani verbally to attack the Modi government. Rahul often tries to woo the poor and middle-class voters by calling Adani as Dhanna Seth. When Adani was asked about this in a TV program, he told Rahul Gandhi a respectable leader, and said that he (Rahul) also has to run a political party.

Significantly, in the last few years, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has made fierce verbal attacks on Adani. They have been accusing the central government of favoring Adani. In an interview, on the question raised about Rahul Gandhi, Adani said, 'By repeatedly talking about Rahul ji, you will make me quarrel with Rahul ji and he will give another statement about me tomorrow. Rahul ji is a respectable leader. They also have to run their own political party. There is a battle between their ideologies. There are allegations and counter-allegations in that. I am a common industrialist. I do my work He does politics on his own terms.

Gautam Adani, who participated in the TV program, said about former National President of Congress Rahul Gandhi that he also wants to progress. He may be commenting politically, but I don't take it as anything more than mere political rhetoric. Adani further said, 'Before 2014, especially in North India, people would hardly have heard the name of Adani. We belong to Gujarat, where people knew us. But, during and after the 2014 elections, Rahul ji continuously attacked us. As a result of which the people here also came to know who Adani is and that is why I am sitting here in front of you.

Adani said this about PM Modi:-

At the same time, regarding PM Narendra Modi, Adani said that I got 3 big breaks in my life. The first break came in 1985 during Rajiv Gandhi's regime when the Exim Policy allowed our company to become a global trading house. Whereas, the second was in 1991 when P.V. Narasimha Rao and Dr. Manmohan Singh opened up the economy and we entered public-private partnership mode. He further said that he got his third break during the 12 years long tenure of Narendra Modi in Gujarat. Adani said, 'I can proudly say that it was a great experience. But, I want to tell you that you can never get any personal help from Modi ji. You can talk to them about policies in the national interest, but when a policy is made, it is for everyone, not just for the Adani group.
