The controversy over the third Test match played at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad is now intensifying. Former India all-rounder batsman Yuvraj Singh condemned the pitch, saying that if such a pitch had been received by Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh, he would have taken 1000 and 700 wickets respectively in Test cricket. Former India batsman Gautam Gambhir has released his reaction to this entire issue. Gambhir asked whether the DRS facility was not available during Harbhajan Singh and Anil Kumble.

The third Test, played between India and England, was over in just two days. There were a total of 17 wickets on the second day of the Ahmedabad Test match. Since then, the pitch has been severely condemned. After the Ahmedabad Test match, Yuvraj Singh had condemned the pitch, saying, "The end of the match in two days is not a good thing for Test cricket." If Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh had bowled on such a wicket, they would have got 1000 and 700 wickets. ' Reacting to this tweet, Gautam Gambhir told ESPNcricinfo, 'Yes, there has been a much bigger change in pitch than before. But in today's time, DRS played a big role very well.' He said, 'I agree with the idea of Yuvraj Singh to an extent, but whether he has played on such a pitch, maybe not. See, the wicket will remain the same for everyone. Ashwin did not demand such a wicket. And when preparing such a pitch, increases the pressure on Ashwin.'

There are different reactions to the pitch after the third match. Many former cricketers like Sunil Gavaskar, Kevin Pietersen have supported the pitch, while cricketers like Akhtar, Michael Vaughan have condemned it. In the Test series being played between India and England, Team India currently leads 2-1. The last match of the series is also going to be played from March 4 at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad.
