Choreographer Geeta Kapoor, popularly known as Geeta Maa, has made a big statement on the accusations of ignoring desi culture on reality shows aired on Indian television. Also, on the occasion of the launch of a new dance reality show in Mumbai, Geeta Kapoor said that if the promotion of Western dance music on Indian television has increased, then the audience of Indian entertainment television is directly responsible for it. Along with this, Geeta Kapoor, judge of the new dance reality show India's Best Dancer, says that there are only a few people who are still trying to save their culture.
The people of India do not want their music and culture to be appreciated even outside the country. Choreographer Geeta Kapoor is part of the judge panel of the dance reality show India's Best Dancer, starting on February 29. Along with Geeta on the show, choreographer Terence Lewis and Hindi cinema actress and skilled dancer Malaika Arora are also part of the judging panel. In response to a question at the press conference of the show's promo launch, Geeta Kapoor said, 'Indian culture is valued, so we are looking for newness in dance. Nowadays the emotions in dance are more and less stunted, and we try our best to save our feelings.
The winner of every reality show is selected along with the votes of the public along with the judges of the show. Apart from this, Geeta Kapoor made the choice of the public, referring to their voting, and said, 'As long as the contestant in the show goes ahead as per our decision, we save it. But as soon as the voting lines are opened to the public, the first classic dancers are out. Where is our fault in this? People do not like to promote their culture.
