Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Friday accused the Centre of ignoring the people's grievances, saying they would teach it a lesson in times to come  He also said that Congress's next "Mahagai Hatao Rally" on December 12 will be a success.

'The Centre isn't even listening to the problems of countrymen,' Gehlot said after visiting the rally venue in Vidhyadhar Nagar here. 'Whether it's inflation that's bothering the average man, or something relating to farmers, they don't care at all.'

"The national government is demonstrating incredible arrogance," Gehlot stated. In the future, people will teach them a lesson." He expressed regret that the party had been denied permission to conduct a protest in the nation's capital. "Inflation is still a problem in the United States." Why was the scheduled rally denied permission? Only the sentiments of the entire country would have been conveyed," Gehlot added.

The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has proposed for a 'Mahagai Hatao Rally' on December 12 in Jaipur instead of New Delhi to protest soaring inflation in the country. Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal and state in-charge Ajay Maken arrived here on Friday to monitor the rally's preparations.
