Relationships are the sweetest and essential part of our daily life. Where ever we go, we draw a new relationship there. But the problem comes when there is a generation gap in between the two. Often they behave like two rivels. So here let's see how you can bridge this generation gap and nurture your relationship.

Whether it’s about social customs, language, creativity or technology, they feel other is less. Each criticizes the other instead of trying to mutually understand.

1. Why not see each other as the perfect complimentary match. It's important to see the goodness in each. Start learning from each other rather than despising and chastising.

2. Be a teacher and a student or Mentor and a mentee for the younger one. Times change and so do many ways of life. Both generations must become aware of this. The old must become receptive to the change as well as learn some things from them even as a mentor.

3. Reverse mentorship happens when the old leave aside their ego. Develop a relationship of trust and respect with the young. Despite lack of experience, some youngsters display great wisdom knowledge and skills.

4. Old people are categorized as rigid in thought and manner, old-fashioned in morality and skills. They see the older generation as different from themselves. Thus cease to identify with them as human beings. Whereas the elders don't approve of their modern ways of living life.

5. Avoid discussing sensitive topics with other. People can become very touchy about topics like religion, politics, grades in education, salary, sex life etc.

6. Words can make or break a communication so use them rightly. Right words at the right time can unite generations, words can be that transforming.

7. Control temper even when you don't like each other's ways. Anger has never solved anything. It has only escalated divides among generations.

8. The elders through their years of learning from life experiences can offer accumulated wisdom as a helpful guide. But they must never force their decision on the young. The young have the right to reject that wisdom.

9. At every moment, you send positive vibes. This positive energy draws people towards you.
