New Delhi: Hyundai's luxury brand Genesis may soon introduce its GV80 SUV in India. The most recent development is that a test mule for the car has been spotted roaming on these roads.
The premium four-wheeler's cabin and luxurious design are its main attractions. It comes with a choice of gasoline and diesel engines under the hood.
In 2019, Hyundai approved the Genesis brand for India, but no model has been revealed yet. Now that the GV80 has been spotted on our roads, the rumors about its upcoming release have increased.

The GV80 is already on the market in other countries and could make its way to India as a completely built unit (CBU). It will compete with Mercedes-Benz and Audi vehicles in this segment.
The Genesis GV80 features a raised grille with chrome finish, a large air dam and split-style LED headlights. Black pillars, ORVMs and fashionable 22-inch alloy wheels frame it on either side.
At the rear, there are wrap-around taillamps, window wipers and shark-fin antenna. The dimensions of the car are 4,945mm long, 1,975mm wide, 1,715mm tall and it has a wheelbase of 2,955mm.
A 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 gasoline engine and a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder, turbocharged gasoline engine generate 300 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque, respectively, for the Genesis GV80. In charge of transmission is an automatic transmission with eight speeds and paddle shifters.

The five-seater interior of the Genesis GV80 is lavish and features heated seats, leather upholstery, faux wood trims, an Alcantara headliner, padded knee pads for the driver and front passenger, and a multifunctional steering wheel.
Electric door blinds and free-standing touchscreen infotainment console are features on both the SUVs. Multiple airbags and ADAS feature keep the passengers safe during a collision.

At the time of its launch, the pricing and availability of the Genesis GV80 in India will be made public. However, the starting price of the SUV in the US is $55,550. (Rs 45.4 lakh approx).
