George Clooney has discussed his role in Batman & Robin, the 1997 film widely regarded as the worst superhero movie ever made. In an interview with media, the actor who played Batman was asked if he would reprise his role in The Flash with Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton, who previously played the caped crusaders.

Clooney said, "They didn't ask me." “When you ruin a franchise the way I did, people typically turn the other way when The Flash comes by.” “He won't let me see it,” Amal Clooney, who was also there at the occasion, stated. Clooney said, "I just want my wife to have some respect for me in some films." Clooney appeared as a superhero with Chris O'Donnell and Alicia Silverstone in Joel Schumacher's notorious film. He previously called the effort a "waste of money."

Meanwhile, according to NME, Keaton admitted that he had to read the script for The Flash several times because he was too "dumb" the first time to understand it. He told The Hollywood Reporter, "I had to read it more than three times to go, 'Wait, how does this work?'" “They had to explain it to me several times before I understood. By the way, I hope I'm not being arrogant about this. I don't say things like, "I'm too cool." I'm a moron. There are a lot of things I don't understand. And so, I'm not sure how I worked it out, but this was different.”

In other news, Clooney will rejoin with Brad Pitt in a new thriller directed by Jon Watts, who helmed Spider-Man: Homecoming. The two performers have previously collaborated on a number of projects, including the Ocean's trilogy and the Coen Brother's Burn After Reading from 2008.
