New Delhi: If you have not yet linked PAN and Aadhaar, then this news is for you. Link PAN and Aadhaar before March 31. And you can do it yourself too. The last date has been set for March 31. If you don't, be prepared to fill the TDS next month or more than the next fiscal year. The government has already extended its duration. So don't be in the hope this time that the linking date is going to increase further. March 31 is the deadline, but you should complete the work today. 

If you do not link the same PAN and Aadhaar, then it will not be the loss of TDS alone. You will have many types of banking inconveniences. There will be trouble in debit and credit card payments, there may be problems in online transactions. There may even be a problem in withdrawing money from the ATM.

According to the same Income Tax Act 139AA, by July 1, 2017, those who have made a PAN and have Aadhaar should get these two papers linked. If you look at the record of the last three years, the CBDT has extended the date of linking Aadhaar and PAN several times. The Income Tax Act also says that if PAN and Aadhaar are not linked by the due date, then PAN will become useless. He will no longer have any role in his financial work.
