Set your eyes on only Akshay Kumar's Gold teaser which is going to be out on 5th February. Though the actor's PadMan is going to release on 9th Feb after that he is going to see in 'Gold', Gold is a movie based on the life of Balbir Singh, who led the country to victory in Hockey at the 1948 Olympics in London.Producer Ritesh Sidhwani earlier said a leading agency that the film is not a biopic. He said, "It is not a biopic. It is a completely fictional story but it is set against a real backdrop between 1933-48 India about what the country was, the sports... About hockey. It is not based on any character." 
 
"We have set it in real events so people (often) confuse it with a biopic. It talks about the era in which we achieved Independence and what happened with sports, (primarily) hockey at that time. It is not about a particular character and Akshay is not even playing (hockey in the film). He plays the manager," added the producer. Talking about the director Reema Kagti, he said, "When Reema came to us with the story, it was on her wish list to go to an actor. And our job as producers is to take her to that actor, so we did that. Akshay was her choice."

The historic cinema is slated to release on August 15, 2018. The film also marks the Bollywood debut of television beauty Mouni Roy opposite Akshay.
