Avocado Seeds

Avocado pulp is very good for your skin, but, you can also use avocado seeds to get rid of dead skin cells. This home remedy is very helpful in getting rid of dirt, excess sebum, and other impurities from the skin. Avocado seeds are a good source of antioxidants, that support nourishing and repairing dry, rough, and damaged skin along with effectively removing dead skin cells.

How to Use: Take some seeds of avocado, then wash them properly. Remove the brown skin of the avocado seeds. Blend to get a powder. Combine 1 tablespoon avocado powder, 1 teaspoon olive oil, and 1 teaspoon honey in a bowl. Apply this on on your neck, face, elbows, and other parts of your body.Massage gently using a circular motion. Leave on your face for 5-10 minutes. Take a shower. Follow this home remedy at least once a week to effectively remove dead skin cells.

 

Dry Brushing

Dry brushing involves using soft bristles to help brush dead skin cells away.

How to Use: Use a small brush that has natural bristles, and gently brush damp skin in small circles for at least 30 seconds. Use this method on skin that is free of any irritation or small cuts.

Coffee

If you need a good exfoliator to remove all those dead skin cells, your regular coffee grounds is a great choice. Coffee grounds help in eliminating dead skin cells and support your body’s production of new skin cells. Also, the flavonols in coffee grounds help to repair damaged skin, improve skin texture, and maintain a glowing complexion.

How to Use: Mix 1 tablespoon of either extra-virgin olive oil or almond oil, 3 tablespoons coffee grounds, 1 tablespoon fine sugar and 1 tablespoon of organic honey. Massage the mixture on your neck, face, elbows and knees using gentle, circular motions. Let it sit on your skin for at least 5-10 minutes. Rinse off using warm water, then gently pat dry your skin.Use this scrub at least once a week.

Sugar and Olive Oil

When olive oil and sugar are mix together, they work as an incredible scrub for your skin. The sugar particles can effectively help in removing the dead skin cells , while olive oil moisturizes your skin completely.

How to Use: Combine 1/2 cup fine sugar, 2-3 teaspoons of extra-virgin olive oil, 2-3 teaspoons honey, and a little amount of lemon juice. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly. Apply on your skin, then massage gently using a circular motion for a few minutes. Wash off using lukewarm water. Pat your skin dry gently.

Notes:

– Follow this process at least 1-2 times a week for faster results.

– You can use this scrub on all parts of your body, including the lips. Just be extra soft with lips while massaging.

Oatmeal

The grainy texture of oatmeal works as an amazing natural exfoliating agent for all skin types. The saponins content in oatmeal helps remove dead skin cells, other impurities and excess sebum. Also, the minerals and vitamins in oatmeal are good for your skin, and its protein content prevents water loss to keep your skin moisturized longer.

How to Use: Place 2 tablespoons of instant oatmeal in a bowl. Add 1 tablespoon honey and 2 tablespoons of plain yogurt. Apply the paste on your face, while doing a massage using circular motions to remove dead cells.Leave on your skin for at least 10-15 minutes. Rinse off with cool water. Pat dry, then apply a light moisturizer.
