Lucknow: A video of A Muslim named Abdul Samad beaten up by Hindu goons and forcibly shaving his beard went viral on social media. The video went viral alleging that the elderly man was beaten up by 'Hindu goons', police investigation revealed that it was a private matter and there was a dispute over amulets, there was nothing communal. Leaders like AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi claimed that Abdul Samad did not sell the amulets at all.
In the Ghaziabad case, a video of Abdul Samad has now surfaced, which shows that he used to trade amulets. Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath's information advisor Shalabh Mani Tripathi has released a video of Abdul Samad before he was assaulted.
Releasing the video, Shalabh Mani Tripathi said that the video was edited to defame Hindus and Shriram and create a story that the elderly man was beaten to death and shaved for not saying 'Jai Shri Ram'. In the video, someone is interrogating the elderly man and Abdul Samad is responding.
