New Delhi: The weather has taken a turn due to rain in most north Indian states including the country's capital Delhi and NCR. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), rain has caused waterlogging in several districts adjoining NCR due to rain in Delhi, Noida, Gurugram and Faridabad.

Meanwhile, MET department has predicted rain in several areas including Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Aligarh for the next 2 days. In view of the rain warning, orders have been issued to close schools in Ghaziabad from Class I to XII from October 18-19. In this regard, the District Collector of Ghaziabad tweeted from his official Twitter handle.

Ghaziabad DM has written in his tweet that the entire school management and principal are apprised that in view of the warning of heavy rains by the Meteorological Department, teaching work will be suspended in all board schools from class 01 to 12 today on 18th and 19th October 2021. In Uttarakhand too, schools are closed in several districts including Uttarkashi today (Monday) i.e. 18th October in view of heavy rain alert.
