Hyderabad: The State Election Commission has issued a code of conduct for officials and public representatives. The Model Code of Conduct will be in force from the date of notification and until the election process is completed.

State Election Commissioner C Partha Sarathi said on Saturday that the model code of conduct should be strictly followed in the election process. C. Partha Sarathi has issued guidelines for model code of conduct.

Model Code of Conduct will be implemented from the date of notification issuance and until the indirect election process is completed. As per the Code of Conduct, no political parties should encourage corporates to bribe the mayor and deputy mayor in the elections directly or indirectly.

Let us inform you that a notification has been issued for the mayor's election on January 22. The new mayoral election will take place on February 11. The deputy mayor is also elected. The Election Commissioner has issued a notification in this context. Corporators will be sworn in at 11 am on February 11. Mayor and Deputy Mayor will be elected at 12:30 pm. A senior IAS officer is appointed to oversee the process of participation.

The current mayor's term is expected to end on February 10. 150 corporators were elected in the December GHMC elections. The election commission has released this list.
