Jammu: Veteran Congress leader and former CM Ghulam Nabi Azad is on a three-day stay in Jammu from today. On the first day of the visit, Azad took a dig at the central government over the Pegasus case. He said the case is being sought to be debated in Parliament and it is a long talk. It may be mentioned that parliament is not functioning due to opposition uproar. Opposition leaders from the government are demanding a discussion on the price rise, the pegasus case. The government, on the other hand, is ignoring the opposition's demand.
Ghulam Nabi Azad expressed grief over the damage caused by the recent floods in neighboring states including Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the governments of the states where rain and floods have caused damage should take care of the affected people. It may be mentioned that in the course of his visit Ghulam Nabi Azad will stay in Jammu and will meet people from all parties including Congress during this period.
On the question of assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said that there is no buzz of elections in Jammu and Kashmir, but the delimitation process is still going on in the state.
