New Delhi: Veteran Congress leader Salman Khurshid has been embroiled in controversy after comparing Hinduism to the dreaded Islamic terror group Islamic State (ISIS) and Boko Haram. The BJP has termed it as an attempt at anti-Hindu thinking of the Congress and the politics of appeasement ahead of the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. Shiv Sena, a Congress ally in Maharashtra, has also objected to Khurshid's book (Sunrise Over Ayodhya).

Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad has also made a statement on the issue saying that comparing Hindutva with Islamic Jihad is factually wrong and exaggerated. Salman Khurshid has been the law minister and external affairs minister of the country. He is said to speak and write every word on the measured weighing. Why is The Book on Ayodhya compared Hidutva to ISIS and Boko Haram? It is being discussed fiercely in the political corridors. Salman Khurshid has written a book titled 'Sunrise over Ayodhya.' This book itself has created a political uproar. Because Salman Khurshid has attacked Hindutva in his book.

The chapter on page 113 of Salman Khurshid's book is 'Saffron Sky.' In it, Salman Khurshid writes, 'Hindutva is putting aside the eternal and ancient Hinduism of saints, which in every way is similar to jihadist Islamic organizations like ISIS and Boko Haram.'
