Srinagar: Veteran Congress leader and former CM Ghulam Nabi Azad has said that he does not think the Congress party will get 300 seats in the next Lok Sabha elections as the situation is not the same yet. This was stated by Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad while addressing a rally in Poonch in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday.

Justifying his silence on Section 370, Azad said only the Supreme Court where the case is pending and the Central Government can restore it. He said the BJP-led central government has quashed Section 370, so it will not restore it. I'll tell you I'll bring him back, it'll be a lie. Ghulam Nabi Azad said, 'I will not speak in that regard to please the people, which is not in our hands. It is not fair if I make false promises to you, to talk about Section 370.

He said only a majority government in the Lok Sabha can restore Section 370. 300 MPs are required to form the government. I can't promise that we'll have 300 MPs in the 2024 elections. I don't think we'll go to 300 seats in 2024. I won't make any false promises to you. So I won't talk about deleting Section 370.'
