The Congress is hearing a voice of protest over the removal of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir within its own party. Several Congress leaders have openly supported Article 370. Several senior Congress leaders are also among those who supported article 370. When Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad questioned, he asked to go ahead.

It is clear that the Congress has been divided into two parts by the Modi government's decision on Article 370. Several Congress leaders, including Milind Deora, Dipendra Hooda, Aditi Singh, are in the fray. Ghulam Nabi Azad said, "I have nothing to do with those who do not know the history of Jammu and Kashmir and the Congress. Such leaders first read the history of Kashmir and the Congress, then stayed in the Congress. Gulan Nabi Azad has directly indicated to such people to leave the Congress.

Senior Congress leader Janardan Dwivedi on Monday welcomed the scrapping of Article 370, taking a different stand from the party's move. He said the mistake made in history has been corrected. The decision taken by the Centre will make the country feel good. Dwivedi, who was known to be very close to party leader Sonia Gandhi until a few years ago, said, "I started politics under the leadership of Ram Manohar Lohia. He was always against this article. Today, one mistake in history has been corrected.'
