Mumbai: Mukesh Ambani, the country's largest industrialist, launched Reliance Jio in 2016. Since then, the telecom sector in the country has changed completely. There are only a few telecom companies left in the country. JIO has proved to be a tremendous game changer in the telecom sector of the country. Now Mukesh Ambani has also taken steps towards green energy.

Asia's richest man, Mukesh Ambani, has a $10 billion plan to increase zero-carbon hardware in India. Reliance Industries is working on a plan to develop four large "Giga Factories" to manufacture photovoltaic modules, batteries, fuel cells and electrolysis to produce hydrogen, importantly. Reliance is one of the biggest schemes, but not all details have been revealed. But the target set by Reliance requires a big effort in terms of existing technology.

A factory capable of building 100 GW of solar panels in 9 years is certainly effective, but it is not beyond the scope of today's possibilities. Many companies are already building more than 10 GW modules in a year. There is also a scale for batteries, and what is already under way under manufacturing expansion will be more than double the production capacity today.
