Rumours of a relationship between Gigi Hadid and Leonardo DiCaprio have intensified during the past week. The pair were recently photographed speaking in private at a New York Fashion Week party, and rumours also claim that they have been getting to know one another. The model's father, Mohamed Hadid, has now commented on the rumours that his daughter is dating.

In an interview with The Daily Mail, Gigi's father discussed the Oscar-winning actor and recalled having met him in the past. He said, "I met Mr DiCaprio in St. Tropez four or five years ago and he is a very nice man. I liked him." Concerning the actor's alleged relationship with his daughter, Mohamed continued, "They are friends – they have known each other for some time. I have not spoken to my daughter about Mr DiCaprio. I don’t think they are dating – I believe they are just good friends. But I really don’t know."

Gigi's father went on to clarify that he does not comment on her personal relationships and has no control over who she dates. Fans are overjoyed to learn that DiCaprio already has a close relationship with Hadid's family, even though Mohamed hasn't confirmed the existence of Gigi and Leonardo's relationship.

Leonardo is well renowned for keeping his romances very private and has not made any public comments regarding his love life. The actor and model Camila Morrone, with whom he had been dating for the previous four years, recently called it quits. After being pictured together at the 2020 Oscars, the ex-couple had formalised their romance.
