Meanwhile, Union Minister Giriraj Singh also said that it is not an issue of religion and politics, but it is an issue of development of all and the country.
He said China is having 9 to 10 children in a minute and 31 to 32 children are being born in India. Talking to media persons, the Union Minister said, "20 per cent of the world's population has become our population, while the land is 2.5 per cent. Therefore, it needs to be looked into from the point of view of social harmony and development. The Union Minister said that it is not an issue of any religion and politics, but it is an issue of development of all and development of the country."
Singh, who has been in the news for his frank statements, thanked Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath for taking steps on the issue and said the issue should be looked into separately from caste, religion, vote bank, politics. He said bringing a law for population control is not going to help much. For this, it is necessary to educate and sensitize women.
