21-year-old girl hacked to death by her boyfriend in resort

On Thursday, a 22-year-old lover hacked to death his 21-year-old girlfriend in a resort. The ghastly incident took place in the outskirts of Hyderabad. With a quick move, the Shankarpally police have arrested the assailant on Friday. 

The victim names P Shiresha is a resident of Kummariguda village of Ranga Reddy district. The accused has been identified as Royyala Sai Prasad (22), a resident of Timmapur village. The whole incident took place in the Pragathi resort, Shankerpally, as per the reports published in The Hans India.

According to the police, the couple knew each other since from 2011. They both hail from the same college, Sri Chaitanya Junior College, where they met each other. Sai was a senior to Shiresha and use to go college together as they live nearby.

DCP Shamshabad further said that their friendship grew in years and hence turned in to a love relationship. But Sai was possessive in nature and he used to suspect her if she talks to anyone else. When Shiresha's family got intimate about Sai's nature, they have warned Shiresha to end the relationship. Subsequently, she refused Sai’s marriage proposal and hence in the vage of anger against her, Sai did this.

The couple went to the resort in the afternoon and when the girl went to use the washroom accused also followed her. He then attacked her with the knife he brought with him. According to the reports, there are multiple injuries on her throat, chest, and hands.

The resort management informed the police about the incident after 3 to 4 hours. The police registered a case under Section 302 of IPC. The victim's body has been sent to Chevella Government Hospital for an autopsy. The police seized a knife and mobile phones of the accused and the victim.
