The Gita Mahotsav, celebrated every year, is on December 14 this year. This festival is known as Gita Jayanti. It is celebrated every year on the Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha in the month of Margasirsha. Tell all of you that Mokshada Ekadashi is also celebrated on this day. On the other hand, if we historians believe, 2021 is the 5159th year of the Gita sermon. In fact, it is mentioned in the Sanatan Shastras that Lord Krishna preached the Gita to His Best Friend Arjuna in Kurukshetra during the Mahabharata War. That is why Gita Jayanti is of special importance. Let me tell all of you that gita mela is organized at many places in the country on this occasion. A world class fair is organized especially in Kurukshetra. As per the information received, gita mahotsav is scheduled to be held from 2nd December to 19th December this year. Under this, theatrical adaptation of Gita sermons, Gita Marathon, exhibitions, cultural programmes are being organized.
Puja Vidhi - On the day of Gita Jayanti, one should get up at Brahma Bela and start the day by bowing to Lord Vishnu. After that, you should bathe in water containing Ganga water and chant the mantra of Om Ganga Har Har Ganga. Now, wearing clean clothes, Lord Vishnu should be worshipped with yellow fruits, flowers, incense lamps, durva, etc. Be careful to recite the Gita on this day. At the end of the day, perform the puja by offering aarti.
According to The Date- Panchang, the Ekadashi date of Shukla Paksha of Margasirsha Month begins at 09.32 pm on Monday, 13th December. The next day, 14th December, ekadashi date (Geeta Jayanti 2021) will be valid till 11.35 pm on Tuesday. Due to this, Gita Jayanti will be celebrated on 14th December.
