Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) for the first time ever inaugurates e-IGJS exclusively for the International Buyers today. This trade event provides both international buyers and Indian manufacturers the right platform to do business.

Chief Guest Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister of State for Commerce & Industry, Govt of India; Guest of Honour Suresh Kumar, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Colin Shah, Chairman, GJEPC; Vipul Shah, Vice-Chairman, GJEPC; Sabhyasachi Ray, ED, GJEPC; Dilip Shah convener, International Exhibition, GJEPC were present among the other industry members during the inauguration ceremony.

Addressing the inaugural session Colin Shah, Chairman, Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council says, "What makes India the preferred destination for gems and jewelry for the world? First and foremost its our craftsmanship, skill that is deep-rooted, our tradition and culture that has a huge influence on the gems and jewelry that we make.

India gems and jewelry industry has always followed ethical business practices and our exporters undertake business lawfully adhering to every international norm and practices prescribed very diligently. We aim to make gem and jewelry industry from USD 35bn to USD 75bn.”
