Gopeshwar: A number of cases are being reported from the country day in and day out. On the incident, Border Road Task Force Commander Col Manish Kapil said that a glacier has burst near Joshimath in Uttarakhand near the Indo-China border. Commander Kapil said that information is being collected to ensure that there is no loss to the workers.

 

On the other hand, the Central Command of the Indian Army said that 291 persons have been rescued so far after coming to bro camp yesterday due to heavy snowfall. Tell me, these days, the workers are working there for the construction of roads on behalf of BRO. The wireless test is also not working in the border area due to maximum snowfall. Niti Valley has been receiving the highest snowfall for the last three days. Joshimath-Malari highway beyond Malari has also been covered with snow, disrupting the movement of army and ITBP trains.

Uttarakhand CM Tirath Singh Rawat has said that Home Minister Amit Shah has immediately taken cognizance of the glacier collapse at Sumana in Niti Valley and assured us of help and also ordered ITBP to remain on alert. Earlier, Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat had tweeted about the incident and said that he is in constant touch with the district administration. He said, "The glacier at Sumana in The Niti Valley has been reported to have collapsed. I have issued an alert in this regard, I am in constant touch with the district administration".
