On July 12, the Delhi High Court granted permission to crisis-hit Go First airline to conduct aircraft maintenance for the planes leased to them. The lessors will also be allowed periodic inspections of the aircraft as per the court's ruling. Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma, leading the division bench handling the appeals filed by the resolution professional appointed under the insolvency law, clarified that the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has the freedom to act upon the airline's plan for resuming operations, according to report.

On July 5, an interim order was issued by a single judge, granting the lessors the right to inspect their aircraft at least twice a month and carry out necessary maintenance work. The single judge's order came in response to petitions filed by several lessors who sought to de-register their planes with the DGCA in order to reclaim possession from the airline.
