New Delhi: India  Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday claimed that more than  10 crore rural households of India have been connected to the facility of clean water through pipes, with 7.00 crore rural families getting connected in the last 3 years. The PM said,  it is among the big victory of the central government's campaign to deliver water to each house.

"This accomplishment is exceptional. Only 3 crore rural homes in the nation had access to piped water facilities after seven decades of independence "said the prime leader. He  emphasised 3  significant accomplishments pertaining to "Amrit Kaal" "Knowing about India's accomplishments will make every citizen extremely proud. Three significant milestones in relation to the enormous objectives that India is pursuing in Amritkaal have been reached today "said PM Modi.

"Currently, pipes have connected 10 crore rural families in the nation to the availability of clean water. This represents a significant victory for the government's initiative to provide water to every home. This is a wonderful illustration of Sabka Prayas "the PM said, adding that  Goa is now the first state in the nation to receive "Har Ghar Jal" certification.
"Today, the nation, and particularly Goa, reached a significant milestone. Goa is become the first state in the nation to receive Har Ghar Jal certification. 

The Prime Minister of India unveiled the Jal Jeevan Mission, the nation's main programme, from the Red Fort's ramparts on August 15, 2019. By 2024, the goal hopes to provide every rural family in the nation with a reliable, long-term supply of potable tap water in an appropriate amount and of the required quality. The Indian government partners with States/UTs to carry out the initiative.

According to government data released on Thursday, more than 52% of rural households in the nation now have access to tap water, up from only 17% when Prime Minister Narendra Modi first announced his "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas aur Sabka Prayas" vision on August 15, 2019.
