Panaji: Heavy rain is expected in Goa in the next 48 hours. Now a warning has also been issued. In fact, Goa chief minister Pramod Sawant recently tweeted. Late last Saturday night, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant tweeted, "A warning has been issued by the Indian Meteorological Department over heavy rains in the state in the next 48 hours. The Goa administration has been put on high alert.''

All of you can see, he tweeted, "In view of the warning issued by IMD, Goa regarding heavy rains in the state in the next 48 hours, I have directed the state administration to remain on high alert in view of the coming rains and take immediate action and prepare for all precautionary measures.''

Let us also inform you that Goa has already been receiving rain and strong winds for several days. There was a lot of damage to property in the state due to cyclone Tauktae. In fact, it is estimated that there was a loss of Rs.148 crores here, that is, in the State. People of Goa are on alert and all have been asked to stay indoors as heavy rains are likely to occur at present.
