'Godman' rape Convict Narayan Sai sentenced to life imprisonment; case filed female disciple

Surat: On Tuesday, a Sessions Court in Surat awarded life sentence to rape convict Narayan Sai. Here it is to be noted that the court convicted self-styled godman and son of rape convict Asaram, Narayan Sai, of raping a female disciple in Surat 11 years ago. Hearing the case, filed by the two sisters, the court had convicted him and stated that the quantum of sentence would be announced on April 30.

Here it is to be noted that according to the case, one of the sisters had accused Narayan Sai of raping her, the other had accused Asaram of the same. Along with Sai, four others have also been convicted in the case. Sai, who is in Jail since 2013 after being arrested, went missing as the case was registered against him. To be noted that he was then arrested by police n the Delhi-Haryana border in 2013, after which he was taken into custody. Narayan Sai Found Guilty as of from Asaram to Gurmeet Ram Rahim, they are ‘Godmen’ Convicted For Rape.

However, it is worth mention here that apart from complainants, 53 witnesses were presented in court in the case. It is to be noted that Sai has also been accused of bribing police officials in the case with Rs 13 crore and is on bail for the case. Here it is to be noted that earlier, his father - Asaram - was convicted was given a life sentence under Section 6 of the POCSO Act, for raping a minor girl in Manai village near Jodhpur on August 15, 2013.
