The futures market is witnessing a significant decline in gold and silver futures prices on Tuesday, February 11, 2020. Besides, global prices of gold and silver are also seen on Tuesday morning. According to Bloomberg, the international gold spot price was down 0.30 per cent, or $ 4.66, on Tuesday morning at $ 1567.49 an ounce. The spot price of silver was down 0.12 percent or $ 0.02 to trade at $ 17.75 an ounce.
Talking about the futures market, on April 3, 2020, gold futures price fell by 0.63 per cent or Rs 257 to Rs 40,422 per 10 grams on the MCX exchange on Tuesday morning. With this, when we talk about the futures price of gold on June 5, 2020, it was seen falling by 0.63 per cent or Rs 257 on Tuesday morning, making it trending at Rs 40,590 per 10 grams. Apart from this, silver futures on the MCX exchange is also seen declining on Tuesday. On Tuesday morning, silver futures on March 5, 2020 fell by 0.43 per cent or Rs 199 to trade at Rs 46,030 per kg.
It is being reported that gold had closed at Rs 41,508 per 10 grams on Monday in the previous session and rose by Rs 190 to Rs 47,396 per kg, besides the futures prices of crude oil. We are seeing an increase on Tuesday morning. On February 19, 2020, crude oil futures on the MCX exchange were trending at Rs 3580 per barrel, rising by 1.10 per cent or Rs 39.
