Chandrapur: Chief Minister Eknath Shinde informed about the presence of gold mines in Chandrapur, Maharashtra, during a ceremony at the Taj Hotel in Mumbai. He had said that there are gold mines in the Chandrapur and Sindhudurg districts of Maharashtra. After this statement of the CM, there has been a stir in the district about this matter. Minghari in Sindewahi tehsil of Chandrapur and Bamani in Chimur tehsil were confirmed to have gold during the survey. District Mining Officer Suresh Netam said that between 2013 and 2015, a survey for copper metal was conducted by the Geological Survey of India in this complex. During that, gold parts were found here.

Suresh Netam said that about 10 wells were dug in this complex and samples were taken, the report of which was submitted to the central government. How much gold is there? It is under investigation. The mining department of the district has confirmed this, but it has been said that it needs more amendments and surveys. Suresh Naitam said that the Geological Survey of India Nagpur had conducted surveys between 2013 and 2015 when some traces of gold were found by the scientists conducting the survey. He said that this entire campus is agricultural. There is a shortage of water here. There is no irrigation facility.  

There is an atmosphere of enthusiasm among the people of the village due to the news of a gold mine here. People say that having a gold mine will provide employment opportunities. By the way, Chandrapur is known for its coal mines. Now gold and copper mines can also be found here, it is being discussed everywhere.
