COMMODITY MARKET WATCH: Gold prices soared to Rs 57,106 per 10 gram on Tuesday, February 7, in line with global rates, in spite of negative global factors. As per the latest market price list, 10gram of 22-carat gold costs Rs 54,200 in India, while 10gram of 24-carat gold costs Rs 59,130. Silver, on the other hand, costs about Rs 7,130 per 100ggram. Gold and silver rates are governed by international pricing.
On the other side, if the value of the rupee falls versus the dollar, silver will become more expensive.
The gold and silver prices in India depend on various factors, including the value of the rupee against the dollar. Global demand also plays a significnat role in determining the trends observed in the rate of precious metals.
