New Delhi: Gold in Delhi Sarafa Bazar rose by Rs 44 to Rs 39,731 per 10 grams on Friday. However, silver fell by Rs 460 to Rs 47,744 per kg. HDFC Securities Senior Analyst (Commodity Market) Tapan Patel has said, "The gold 24-carat spot in Delhi has gained Rs 44. This has been strengthened amid rupee fluctuations."

The previous day, gold closed at Rs 39,687 per 10 grams. On the other hand, silver fell by Rs 460 to Rs 47,744 per kg on Friday. On Thursday, its price was fixed at Rs 48,204. In the international market, gold and silver, both precious metals, lost marginally and its prices were quoted at $ 1,509 an ounce and $ 17.81 an ounce, respectively.

Gold futures fell by Rs 52 to Rs 38,830 per ten grams on Friday. Gold futures prices have declined as traders downsized their deals amid a weak global trend. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the February contract for gold fell to Rs 38,830 per ten grams with a weakening of Rs 52 or 0.13%. It had a business of 16,303 lots.
