The Indian bullion market is witnessing a steady rise in metal prices due to the festive season. Gold prices rose for the third day today. However, silver prices have certainly shown a decline. Experts say that the prices of jewellery may go up sharply on the occasion of Dhanteras.

According to the latest prices of India Bullion and Jewellers Association, today (Friday) means 24-carat gold prices with 999 purity have gained 172 rupees in the morning of October 22. With this, the price of 24-carat gold has gone up to Rs. 47,641 per 10 grams. Silver prices fell by 109 rupees. Silver fell to Rs 64,891 per kg this morning.

Gold and silver prices fell in the evening on Thursday as compared to the morning. The price of 24-carat gold with 999 purity closed at 47,469 in the evening. On the other hand, the price of silver with 999 purity declined to 65,000. There is an occasional difference between the price issued by the Indian Bullion Jewellers Association and the prices of metals in the bullion market. This is due to GST. Let me tell you that the prices of metals in the market automatically increase.
