Gone Girl star was admitted after a hit-and-run accident in New York City. The actress Lisa Banes after getting treatment for days has bid a goodbye to world. The unfortunate accident took place on 4 June in New York's Upper West Side of Manhattan.
The saddening news was confirmed by her rep "We are heartsick over Lisa's tragic and senseless passing. She was a woman of great spirit, kindness and generosity and dedicated to her work, whether on stage or in front of a camera and even more so to her wife, family and friends. We were blessed to have had her in our lives." The accident took place in Manhattan when the 65-year-old was on her way to visit her alma mater, the Juilliard School and was crossing Amsterdam Avenue. The actress was struck by a person on a scooter. It’s said that while walking down the street the scooter collided and then she was rushed to Mount Sinai Morningside hospital. According to The New York Post, Banes reportedly suffered a brain injury and failed to recover from it. The doctors were treating her at hospital for “substantial injuries.” The police officials said that no arrests have been made in connection to the incident.
Talking about the glamourous Lisa, she is widely known for her recent performance in Gone Girl. While, in 1988 romantic dramedy Cocktail in which she starred opposite Tom Cruise is also well praised work of hers.
