Mumbai: The Railways and western railways, Mayanagari, Mumbai are now going to restore their suburban services with 100 per cent capacity. Passenger seating capacity in Mumbai locality was reduced during the corona epidemic crisis, but now 100 per cent of passengers will be able to travel from October 28.
According to media reports, passengers who travel in these local trains (suburban services) will have to follow corona protocol as before. In view of the increase in the number of passengers in these local trains in the last few days, it has been decided to run with 100% capacity. A total of 3,141 local trains will now run in Mumbai. This includes 1,774 local trains of Central Railway and 1,367 local trains of Western Railway.
At present, 1,702 local trains of Central Railway and 1,304 local trains of Western Railway are operational. This means that the number of 72 trains has now been increased. By the way, only government employees were allowed to travel in local trains so far, as well as those who are associated with essential services. In the general public, people who had taken both corona doses and completed 14 days after the vaccine were placed. Apart from them, people who are under the age of 18 will be included.
