Dehradun: Irctc will now provide delicious food to passengers travelling in trains. Passengers will be able to book delicious food from IRCTC's Mobile On Food on Track due to the journey in trains. IRCTC will provide food to passengers on the seat in the train. In the first phase, this facility will be available to the passengers of trains originating from New Delhi Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station, while in the next phase, it will be available at stations like Dehradun, Lucknow, Kolkata, Patna.

According to Anand Kumar Jha, Chief Public Relations Officer of IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation), food can be booked from IRCTC's mobile app and order food items like deluxe thali, maharaja thali, old Delhi veg biryani, veg dimsam, paneer dimsam, wok toss noodles, dal makhani. Passengers can call 1323 at least two hours before the travel time and order food at the next station. It was said that with the introduction of this facility, people will no longer have to face problems for catering.

Passengers will be able to take advantage of this by visiting IRCTC's e-catering website www.ecat ecattering.irctc.co.in or food-on track app. At present, the railway board is providing catering facility in long distance trains, but there are many such trains in which people are not able to get this facility. In such a situation, people have to face problems.
