The user of the Gmail app will now get a different experience. Gmail has released a new feature that lets the user customize the emails using left and right swipe gesture. It has been seen with the latest update version 8.5.20. The Gmail user first had to do action by default, now they will have left, right swipe.

This development was first seen by the Android Police and claimed that it came with latest updates. It started rolling out on 30th May and is still getting updates. For swipe, the user has to go to Settings - General - Swipe. In the menu, users will be able to select the archive, delete, Mark Edge Read / Unread, Move to and Snooze options. Users can also deactivate the swipe actions and gestures.

Once done, it will be applied to all the apps. However, for Android users, Gmail does not mention it separately, but some bugs have been fixed in the upgrade and it has come up with improvements. In April this year, Gmail had announced a big update, which included the design. This change came 5 years later. The update app will have an email shortcut, smart reply, nudge for a reply.
