It is common for Facebook and Google to share the inflammatory things. Because of this, there are many political advantages, due to which those who spread such data get money. The UK has taken a major step in this direction. Now, in the UK, the spread of extremism has to be taxed by Facebook and Google.

UK Security Minister Ben Wallace said that these companies sell people's data to companies but do not give to the government. Because of this, the government faces difficulties in preventing communal tension. If Facebook and Google do not help to stop extremist content then they will be taxed.

Responding to this, Facebook has blamed Ben Wallace as wrong. Facebook executive Simon Millner dismissed the criticism saying that it is wrong to say that if we pay attention to profits rather than safety, then it is also wrong when that particular thing is terrorism. We have spent millions of people on Pond's and technology so that terrorist content can be removed. Some similar feedback is given by YouTube.

As part of the new forum, the companies said they would share best practices regarding “content detection and classification techniques using machine learning” and “define standard transparency reporting methods for terrorist content removals”.

Through a partnership with a United Nations counter-terrorism committee and a range of organizations, the tech firms said they would also “identify how best to counter extremism and online hate while respecting freedom of expression and privacy”.
