New Delhi: Axios has reported that Google is embarking on a significant revamp of its Google Assistant, powered by Large Language Model (LLM) technology. An internal email sent to employees on July 31, 2023, unveiled the company's plans to supercharge the Assistant with cutting-edge language capabilities. This upgrade aims to enhance the Assistant's understanding and response to natural language queries, resulting in a more creative and engaging user experience.

The email disclosed that work on the revamped Assistant has already commenced, commencing with the mobile version of the product. Google has assured users that it will continue to support both the old and new versions of the Assistant during this transition period.

In conjunction with the AI makeover, Google is undergoing some reorganization within the Assistant team. The Services and Surfaces teams will be merged, while the Mobile team will function independently, indicating a dedicated focus on mobile platforms for the Assistant's evolution.
