Google Taiwanese company can buy HTC's smartphone business. According to a report from the Commercial Times published from China, Google is considering two options to deal with HTC.
HTC allegedly makes Google's 'pixel 2' category smartphones. PhoneArina.com is quoting the commercial Times on Friday (September 8th) that Google is reportedly planning to become HTC's 'becoming a strategic partner, or buy a full smartphone unit'.
However, HTC's Virtual Reality (HTC Viv) business will not be part of this deal. This news came on Thursday (September 7th) after registering the lowest earnings by HTC in the past decade.
HTC's financial status, once popular in America, is still poor. Despite launching its main equipment, the company has failed to perform well in the market for a long time.
Both Google and HTC have denied commenting on this report. If this agreement is reached, then in 2012 after Google bought Motorola for $ 12.5 billion, this would be the second major acquisition.
Google later sold Motorola for Lenovo in $ 2.91 billion in 2014. In July, HTC launched its flagship smartphone HTC U11 in India, which has the highest quality camera in the world and its price is 51,999 rupees.
