Gmail, YouTube and other Google tools down across UK as users report error 500.
Users are experiencing issues with the Google system including Gmail, Google sheets, Youtube and other programmes. Reports of issues began to surface around 11.22 am this morning (Monday), whereby hundreds of users have expressed issues to Down Detector, the independent outage monitor, with the majority so far relating to receiving messages and logging in. And people are taking to social media to vent their frustrations.
"Is anyone else’s #gmail down? Kind of freaking out @gmail," wrote one.
Another said: "Yoooo @Google what's going on yo!? @YouTube even @Gmail is down
Among the services that were disrupted at the time of writing include Gmail, Google search engine, YouTube, and Google Maps among others. The latest outage, which seems to be more intensive than the last one, seemingly started around 10-15 minutes back. Down detector, the website that tracks web outages, has reported over 20,000 outage cases from around the world.
