On the Google hardware event, Nest Audio is one among the bunch of the Hardware rolled out by it. It’s been four years since Google Home smart speakers were launched. The Nest Audio comes with a 19mm tweeter and 75mm mid-woofer, which gives a fuller and more natural sound. In comparison with Google Home Speakers, Google says Nest Audio delivers 50% more bass and 75% more volume.
The EQ feature introduced in Google Home Max is also incorporated in Nest Audio. EQ feature adjusts the audio of the device in accordance with the acoustics of the space. It is an additional feature to Ambient IQ which adjusts the volume in accordance with the background noise. Nest Audio is compatible with other smart speakers: Google Home, Nest mini and Nest Hub. Users can connect them together to play the same audio simultaneously on each other or can be transferred from speaker to speaker when user is on move, from one place to another. Google Assistant will respond 200% fast compared to Google Home.
The smart speaker also has features like series of touch controls on its side, the ability to reduce the volume on tap. It also has a switch to turn the microphone on and off, which all other smart speakers possess. The Nest Audio comes in a variety of colors: Chalk, charcoal, sand, sage, sky and is available for purchase from October 5 and is priced at $99.
