YouTube have designed its new beta application to help its users to save the video in the low quality mode for offline viewing in less data consumption. It limits the video quality automatically at 640p, It is a unique feature of the application. 

Google have launched the new YouTube Go application in India, but sources say that it is still to be released officially on the Google Play Store. There are two versions are available at the site- one is 'basic' and second is 'standard'.

As per the latest reports, neither basic nor standard application allows you to watch the video in 720p or 1080p. If users want to have a high-quality videos, then they can switch to the previous version of the YouTube application.
